By now, most of the players at our epic casino site should have heard the name Slingo. This is a casino game thought up by online casino games studio Slingo Originals where online bingo meets online slots to brilliant effect. The latest release in this fabulous series of games is Big Money Slingo, which isn't exactly too dissimilar to what you'll already have experienced. What is different is the added value before a round even starts, or the potential max prize of 10,000x your stake.
So how does a game of Big Money Slingo work? You've got a 5x5 grid, and instead of reels spinning, like in online slot games, the 25 spaces of the grid all have random numbers showing. There's a 5 reel row at the bottom of the screen, and a round sees this row filled with random numbers or joker symbols six times. In those six draws, you need to match as many numbers in the row with the grid above as possible. This will mark the numbers off, and the more horizontal, vertical or diagonal lines you complete by marking off numbers, the higher your return.
The stake options you have in Big Money Slingo is 0.50, 1, 2, 3, 5 and 10 per round. Interestingly, each stake option has a different theme applied to the background behind the grid. Obviously, the size of the stake you choose has a bearing on the returns you can achieve. Going with 10 per round could see you walk away with up to 100,000 in your pocket.
One of the ideas of Slingo is that it’s almost an even split of online bingo elements and online slots elements. One of the elements less in favour of slots online in Big Money Slingo is the use of numbers and not symbols. This is due to having to match numbers to mark them off, just like in a regular game of bingo.
The only symbols that can appear in the bottom row along with random numbers include the joker, which marks off any number in the reel directly above it, as well as the Free Go yellow ball.
Big Money Slingo isn’t riddled with bonus features, or bits and bobs and added value to be precise. However, there is a nice touch that the studio has applied prior to a round of Slingo commencing. Right at the beginning of a round, before the six balls start dropping, you will receive between 1 - 4 jokers placed on the 5x5 grid, taking up a maximum of 4 spaces. This is beneficial as jokers act as any number and make it easier to complete lines.
There's also the Free Go yellow ball, and when this one appears, you'll have an extra drop of a ball above the 6 that you were originally given.
In most cases, you won't see too many differences between Slingo releases, and if we're being honest Big Money Slingo is very similar to what we've seen countless times before. However, the jokers appearing on the grid before a round starts is original to us, and most certainly welcome. Should you get four jokers on the grid from the start, you have a chance of extracting some awesome sums from Big Money Slingo. And if you like this, try some of Slingo Original's other games like Slingo Da Vinci Diamonds, Slingo Advance and Slingo Rainbow Riches.
